GoGardeners - Garden Coaching
About
I teach people how to garden, so that they may have healthy edibles, a meditation space, a children's garden(keeps them busy for hours), a bright and cheery welcome home garden from the curb to your front door, small space gardening, etc.
My mission in teaching people how to garden is to bring them back to the earth, get fresh air, expand their comfort zone, have more confidence and strength, and have health and wellness benifits at your doorstep, anytime.
I teach a corressponding life balance technique for everything that happens in the garden. Learn how to garden at your pace, with me by you side, learn about free anti-oxidents floating all around you when you garden. It is simple, it is a customised garden for you, it is designed to give back to you. Your experience in the garden will help you solve the problems in your life.
I enjoy seeing my clients insecurity and frowns, turn to confidence and smiles.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A brief chat on the phone to introduce ourselves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Many years helping clients to visualize how they want to feel in the garden. Step by step help from amending soil, choosing the plants, art, stone, chimes, and fairies, that will give feeling to the garden, I plant with you by your side so you can always ask me a question, have companionship, keep you on track, and get the garden finished in half the time.
I have a BS in Biology, minor in Chemistry, years of experience in art, gardening, and research, killed many plants and lived to tell the tale, and love to stretch the envelope. I teach children and adults about the wonder of worms,(worm poop is rich in nutrients, dry to the touch, and smells wonderful), teach how to grow salad plants, harvest, and then eat them, and explore the dyes made from flowers, aromatherapy, and being fully aware in the garden.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The initial consultation is $110, lasting over an hour.
You may buy the most popular coaching package of 5 hours of garden coaching for $400, followed by the second most popular coaching package, of ten hours of garden coaching at $725.
If you only need a bit of help, then I would recommend the hourly rate of $110.
How did you get started in this business?
I love life!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with children at their schools, with adults, both male and female ranging in age from 5 to 85 years-old. I work with people with different mobility ranges, concentrating on ergonomics and safety. Some of my clients need extra care in a hospital stay, rehabilitation, and cancer treatments. Once they are strong again, we get out there in the garden and get those smiles on.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love it when a client can think of a solution before I can. There was a problem keeping a fragile plant in the garden safe through the winter. It needed to be shielded from the ice and snow. After a few suggestions, my client came up with her own solution, bought the materials, and had everything ready for us to complete the project within an hour.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
There are very few people with expertise in my area, and I would venture to say no one else but myself combining gardening, awareness, and wellness in the Washinton Metro area.
The client must realize that he/she will be doing as much of the work as possible, and doing the decision making. If the client builds the garden, more ownership, confidence, and wellness is gained.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If a customer does not want to build the garden and have all the say in the design and materials used, then hiring a landscaper, or landscape architect, with a crew of 15, would be best. The hardscape and drainage problems will be resolved, and garden will appear within a week. You will be able to enjoy the garden almost immediately.
If you want to touch the earth and the sky, simultaneously, hire me. It will take more time, but you will be a part of the garden and the garden will be a part of you.
