From the customer service and initial appointment plan to the crew that came out to my home it was all top notch! Jai and Kelly really explained and helped me through the whole process and the crew that came to my home to fix my basement was nothing short of professional and friendly and so respectful.     I am a new homeowner and I purchased the property with the warranty of the previous owner. I needed new batteries for the sump pump and window well cleaning, I recieved immediate service and the warranty was honored. The technicians were very knowledgeable and courteous.     We have been working with Affordable for a couple of years now. To put it lightly, we have the basement from hell. When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It is a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate. Since then, any time we have had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer. Poor Kelly and Bobby probably recognize our number on the caller ID but whenever we make a call or send an email, we always get a response- usually with a visit on the same day. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, customer service, and quality work

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The customer will call in and set up an intial inspection with one of our licensed inspectors and an estimate is provided if we are able to help the customer.  If the customer decides to move forward with our company then a contract is executed signed and an installation date is given.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All our all Licensed Inspectors have a MHIC License in the State of Maryland.   Continuing education is provided for lead abatement, mold remediation, radon, water mitagation ect. 


Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

The price given depends on the material list, how hard the job is for example is the home completely finished with tiles, drywall, carpet as oppossed to an area that is bare and wide open with exposed foundation walls in the basement and or crawlspace.


How did you get started in this business?

I met a business man from Florida who gave me an oppurtunity to run his business from researching my past projects and referrels.


What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with Professional Athlete's, Property Management Companies, Real Estate Agents, Commercial Buildings (Hotels) and Large Apartment Complexes, Military Base Housing.


Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We participate in the Polr Bear Plunge every year at Sandy Point State Park.  This is our 5th year participating and it is an honor to be apart of a special event right here in our beautiful State of Maryland.


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Customers should do their homework to make sure not only the company is licensed but also the inspector is licensed.  Also, the company is bonded and insured.  A company should never ask for cash up front especially if a contract is not signed. 


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Customers should ask if the work has a warranty or service contract available.
