Frequently asked questions

We Build Relationships.

In order to properly provide our clients with a comprehensive scope of work and proposal, we have to clearly define all of the desires and wishes within the available resources of the space, time and finances.  To do that, we offer Design & Preconstruction services to fully investigate as much of the project as possible before providing a detailed and itemized proposal.  This process allows us to know our clients better and find the best solution while also minimalizing any potential pitfalls or surprises.

Ryan has a Bachelors degree in Architecture and Environmental Design.  He started his career working for a small design firm in Indy before exploring opportunities in the commercial development and construction industries.  Ryan's family has always been in the building trades, so sawdust runs through his veins.  What started as a side gig of helping friends remodel their homes has turned into a very rewarding career of meeting new people and making a direct impact on their lives through the built environment of their home.

Every client is unique.  Every home is unique.  We want to walk alongside you and find the best solution for your budget.  We can adjust the design or find ways to phase work over time to meet your needs.

That being said, there are some average cost trends that we communicate to our clients when we first meet:

Basement Remodels average at $50 to $60 per square foot

Hall Bathrooms average $20,000 to $30,000

Master Bathrooms average $45,000 to $65,000

Kitchens average $70,000 to $90,000

Additions average $250 to $350 per square foot

Custom Homes range anywhere from $300 to $500 per square foot

My dad and grandfather were always building things and I loved working alongside them.  They encouraged me to pursue a formal degree to which I did through Ball State's College of Architecture.  While I enjoyed my career working in the professional environment, I missed getting my hands dirty and covered in sawdust.  What started as a side gig of helping others has now turned into a rewarding business where we can share our expertise to make a direct impact on the daily lives of families.

We work with everyone.  We love meeting people and getting to know them and finding solutions.  Sometimes we are not the right people to help and we will point them on the way to someone who can help them better than us.  It's all a process of getting to know them and finding the best solution.

Well, you aren't really going to know who they are through the internet.  This is a good place to discover and do research, but you need to chat and discuss things face to face before making a decision.  You aren't buying a construction/renovation service.  You are inviting someone into your home where your family is to make changes that will impact the daily routines and comfort of your family for the rest of the time that you live there.  It's personal.  Make sure you hire someone you can work with and who you feel will look out for your best interest.
