Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically respond to clients by the end of the business day via email or by phone call to have the initial chat, answer any general and background questions. The next step would be to schedule a meeting time for more discussion of the renovation as well as an opportunity to measure the area for renovations and answer any additional questions. Once the proposal goes out, we follow up to ensure you receive it and see if there are any questions at that point, depending on the client timeline and where in the process they are (ready to make a decision or interviewing other contractors) we will request a time to follow up on the decision or answer any questions at that point that would help in making a decision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have a combined 30+ years of experience related to the construction industry including but not limited to legal, design, financing, repairs, design and build. We strongly encourage all our team members including office admin to pursue continued education in the industry to stay informed and educated on the cutting edge products that are continously coming out. This is modeled by the owners and encouraged with everyone on our teams.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There are standard hourly rates for smaller projects but most are per project pricing since we include everything from the concept, design development, material purchases and all trades. We make remodeling easy.
How did you get started in this business?
We both had experiences with our dads growing up and our natural inclination was to work in the service industry with Christopher becoming a Master Carpenter and Maria pursuing construction via project management, sales, financing and contract negotiations.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with homeowners, property managers, investors and a handful of realtors.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions. We prefer to empower our clients with all the information necessary about us, our process, the industry, materials so that the decision to hire us is transparent.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Who is the direct contact point throughout the renovation?
2. How long will the project take (while there could be delays, experienced contractors can provide a range that the homeowner can plan home life around)?
3. How are misunderstandings handled and by whom? Reality check - construction can be stressful and unfamiliar so if misunderstandings arise a professional contractor will be able to address these expeditously to avoid delays.
