What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts with thourough written estimate which is either done over the phone or onsite. Then the customer received the estimate by email and has to accept it. We agree on a date and time for the move.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each of our employee prior to the job start gets background check and detailed training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have published tariff rates for all our local moves within the state of Illinois which depend on the amount of movers and travel distance. Long distance moves are calculated based on mileage and weight of shipment.
How did you get started in this business?
We started our moving business with one cargo van and 2 movers, one of whom was a current company owner and the other one was his friend.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We usually work with people who need residential moving services, that is 95% of our customers, we also have worked corporate customers and provide office moving services from time to time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always make sure the mover you decide to hire is properly licensed and insured. There are 4 types of insurance coverage each mover is supposed to have: general liability insurance, auto insurance, cargo insurance and workers compensation.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do you have a proper authority and license? Can you show the proof? Are you properly insured? Will you be able to provide the certificate of insurance?
