I'm Roland, and my wife Alesha and I run Good Golly Garage Doors right here in the Treasure Valley. I spent 10 years in home services, and we built this company on one idea. It's not about what we can get from our clients. It's about what we can give them.
We fix broken springs, cables, rollers, openers, and doors that won't open or close, and when it's time for a new door or opener, we handle that too. There's never a charge to come out. Before any work starts, you get the whole picture: what's broken, what's about to break, and every option with an upfront price. Our standard is one call, that's all, so repairs get done that same visit whenever possible.

We had a 27 year old garage door that had the control board go out on it twice over the last 10 years. A friend reccomended us to Good Golly, they had Roland out the same day. (When we saw him pull up in a nice wrapped vehicle and clean cut/well dressed I looked at my wife and said...This is going to be expensive...)
He compared pricing on replacing our board and replacing the lifting unit (His cost for replacing the whole unit was almost the same as we paid for the board 5 years ago). He also noticed our springs were old and reccomended replacing them, saying it wasnt a requirement but encouraged. (I cant stand sales guys that just walk in racking up a giant ticket to try and sell you...that wasnt Roland at all. What he reccomended made sense and we moved forward with the reccomended work.)
He installed a LiftMaster 2420L. The unit is belt driven, super quiet, and he helped us set it up to get it working on our phone. (Unit has battery back up in the event of power outage.) We are thrilled, thanks so much Good Golly!

Had Good Golly ( along with Gilbert) out to our house to install a new garage door opener. Wow - what a great professional and friendly experience. Two of the nicest and professional young men did a superb job. We highly recommend this company.
