Parker Tree Service has certified arborists on staff, a plant health care specialist and is accredited with TCIA (Tree Care Industry Association).

George ‘Brownie” Parker began Parker Tree Service back in 1937, in Bakersfield, California. Back in those days, there were no boom trucks (“cherry pickers”) and the rigging “systems” were just good ropes and good knot-tying.

Brownie’s 4 sons, Joe, Jesse, Mike, and George, became tree-climbers as well, and the family business became known for it’s dependability, fairness, and hard work ethic.

In 1978, the family moved to La Grand, Oregon, where Jesse Parker continues to operate that part of the business. Joe and his family continued on to Idaho.
Joe’s son, Justin, with fond memories of climbing and working alongside dad and grandpa, became a third-generation Parker tree climber, and now runs the business here in the Treasure Valley.

Brownie Parker climbed his last tree at the age of 78. A lot has changed over seven decades, but dedication to the values the company was founded on have not. The Parker family is grateful to its many customers, and we look forward to continued service for years to come.
