Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we want to meet you. Put a face with a name. Get to know what more about your vision and your expectations.
Second, we will take some measurements regarding the project.
Third, we provide a written estimate sent via email for you to look over and discuss.
Fourth, we will follow up and ask if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Fifth, we require a signed contract in order to get started and get you scheduled.
Once we have you scheduled, we work on your project until it is complete. We do not bounce around from job to job. We know you want us out of your home and to finish as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. That is what we intend to do.
Depending on the project, or the length of the project, we will keep you posted weekly on progress and where we are during the project.
Once completed we provide a cerficate of completion with all the info regarding your project. Tile name, paint color, plumbing fixtures, list of sub contractors (if needed), and any other information that is relavant to your project.
Unless the project is a really big project we do not require a deposit. Typically, projects over $10,000 will require a deposit. But you will not pay 100% until you are completly satisfied.

How did you get started in this business?
The owner, Chris Bryant, grew up in the industry. When the crash hit, he left the industry to finish his degree at a local college and then worked in venue management for three years.
After the economy came back around, Chris decided that the industry still needed good contractors.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types. Different social economical scales, different ethnicities, all across the board really.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We were able to put an elevator in a young womens house that got hit by a drunk driver. We made her house handicap accessable so that she could live a normal life. Remote doors, elevator, outdoor living space, ect...
We still talk and she is considered a friend of CHL.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are licensed, bonded, and insured. Very important. There are a lot of guys and pick up trucks. Do your research. Read reviews. Become an educated buyer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Create a realistic budget. Most clients are unaware of the real cost associataed with a renovation.
If you can do research on the look or design you like that always helps the contractor understand you desires.
Understand the difference between a fair price and a cheap price.
Often times people are left paying for cheap shortly after they saved the money they could of spent the first time to do it right.
