I requested a quote through Home Guide. I was told it would be $95/hr for 1-2 hours for the heater replacement. I confirmed this would be $95-$190 dollars before committing to service. The plumbers were here for 1.5 hours, so I expected about $150. The bill was $237. I was told they also charge for drive time. Their office is in Zephyrhills, which is a decent drive. I dont know why they were bidding jobs in Brandon without ever mentioning drive time.

I talked to the plumber on site, and he got it adjusted to $200, but said this was still higher because of drive time but that was the best he could do. I called the dispatcher (both the plumber and dispatcher were friendly and understanding) and she couldnt really explain it but offered to have the owner call.

The owner called, and wow. Customer service is definitely nowhere in his professional background. Its a good thing he has the dispatcher for most things. He said they always bill for drive time (which is different than what the dispatcher had said) and if I didnt like it, he threatened to put a lien on my home. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Youve been warned.

My technician was Christian. He arrived promptly. Looked over the problem and fixed everything in a very short amount of time! He was fast and friendly and very professional!
