Homestead Transfer & Storage is a 3rd generation, family owned and operated agency for northAmerican Van Lines, since 1955. Our founding "father" Orville Haller, grandfather to current owners Robert and William (Randy) Griffitts was asked to open our agency to support the local Homestead Air Force Base. 

Upon his passing, his daughter, Elizabeth (Betsy) Haller continued the family business, along with her two boys, Robert and Randy.  Together, they ran Homestead Transfer & Storage until hurricane Andrew. 

HurricaneAndrew devastated our community and there was little hope they could survive.  They took what was left and moved up to West Palm Beach until a new building could be found closer.  During that time, as property became available they slowly migrated back home, into their current and final location, back HOME, in Homestead, January of 1998. 

A year later, Betsy passed away unexpecctedly, and Robert and Randy and Robert's wife, Adrienne decided to continue the family business they all loved. 

Homestead Transfer & Storage is proud to service the military members coming in to, and departing Homestead, FL.  Although not a fully active base, HARB has a LOT of activity coming and going, as well as the Naval Air Station, in Key West, FL, where we also handle in and outbound moves. 

Moving locally, in State, out of State, or out of the Country, we can handle any move.  Office moves as well!

Since 1955, we have proudly been awarded the Quality excellence award from northAmerican Van Lines, every year.

FAQs


What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Give us a call, we will walk you through scheduling an in home estimate.  Once you receive your quote and it has been accepted, we handle the process for you!  We can pack as much, or as little as you need us to.  We make sure your dates are on target, and that the only thing you have to worry about come moving day, is opening your front door to let our crew in while you put up your feet!


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Robert and Randy have grown up in this family business, working side by side in every aspect of the job, since day 1. 

Adrienne has been working along side them since 1995.
