Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically a new customer will contact us for a quote. At that time we will try to discuss the inventory of the move and discuss what services are needed. In some cases such as a full pack job, we will need to see everything in person or over a video chat. Once we have enough information, we will give the customer an accurate quote along with the next steps to prepare for move day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 25+ years of in the field experience. After working for multiple moving companies, we have learned best practices for a safe and efficient move!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Residential and Commercial moves are typically done at an hourly rate with a one-time service fee. Piano and Specialty item moves are typically priced at a flat rate. Though we might not be the cheapest movers the value and service we offer far exceeds our pricing.
How did you get started in this business?
Being strong and in need of a job. After showing my work ethic and meticulous ways, I was quickly promoted to crew leader, and then management.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of customers. We love all of our customers dearly and love to take the stress out of moving or help someone in need!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We had a family that needed to move out of the home in a short notice of 2 days. We were able to squeeze them into our schedule and get the job done very quickly saving them money. It was a 3bd move that took only 3 hours.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My #1 tip would be to not only shop price. In the moving industry, we see a lot of customers that are only interested in the cheapest price. Though I can understand having a budget, in this industry you usually get what you pay for. A lot of cheaper companies don't have the experience, the license and aren't insured. One wrong move from a company like that can end up costing you a lot more in the end.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do I want to save time or money? Will I pack everything or have it done professionally? Do I have anything such as beds that need to be disassembled? Do I want a company that is going to be the cheapest or a company that is going to make the whole process stress free?
