I started plumbing when I was 16 years old. I worked hard and became a Journeyman plumber in my early 20s and a State certified plumbing contractor by the time I was 25. I have done plumbing on schools, nursing homes, custom houses, multistory buildings, dentist offices, gas stations, chemistry labs, fast food restaurants, drug stores, and many other projects. I live in Palm Harbor with my wife Tammy and our four beautiful children. I go to every job that we are called for because it is important for me to know that every customer we service is being treated the way I personally would like to be treated as a customer. I am not buying a vacation home with my family owned small local business I am simply putting cloths on their back and values in their heart.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to find out exactly what the potential customer wants to accomplish and then I give them the available options and answer any questions that they have so they can make a informed decision that is right for their life and their budget.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have done plumbing since I was 16 years old. I am 43 now. I am a State Certified Plumbing Contractor. We have been in busiess for 17 years with hundreds of happy customers.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

We generally give a exact price as soon as we see the poject. If it is not possible to do that we charge time and material with the aproval of the customer before we are owed any money.

How did you get started in this business?

I started at 16 years old and worked for then minimium wage at 4.20 a hour. I worked for many years for other plumbing companies from Hudson Florida to South Miami. I have seen huge commercial companies and the lack of customer service and personal interest in their cutomers. I wanted to do something different for my customers, I wanted to do something that made a difference. Therefor I work directly with my customers to assure they recieve the customer service I would want for my own mother.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with many customers from singers on Star Island in Miami to penthouse sweets on South Beach. I have done work on high rise buildings and simple home bathroom additions. I treat each job we are on like I was doing it on my own home and treat each customer with the same care and conern I would want to be treated with.

Describe a recent project you are fond of.

I really enjoy my work so it would be hard to choose just one. If I had to I would say it was building the Jimmy Johns out in Feather Sound. The building inspector said to the contractor that he thought all the old time plumbers were gone. I was very happy that my quality of work surpassed his expectations as I am a craftsman and that is my goal.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

I would advise anyone to check their license number out at www.myfloridalicense.com/verify . I would also make sure they are insured and check their reviews online. I deal with many people a year that hire a unlicensed contractor and pay more than what a licensed professional would have charged and then have to go back and pay to have it done right. We have done several jobs where the customer could not afford to have it done right gratis.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

I would suggest they have a good idea of what they would like to accomplish and then consult the pro about their options. There should be no pressure to buy more expensive options and the pro should explain to you the pros and cons of each one. It is important to me to spend time with the customer to make sure I have a complete understanding of their needs.
