About

Flamig Farm, founded in 1907 in West Simsbury, Connecticut, is a family-run agritourism destination recognized by its big backward EGGS sign. Evolving from dairy and egg production, the farm now offers a petting zoo, farm stays, children’s programs, summer camps, birthday parties, and school tours. It also hosts weddings and private events, pony and hayrides, and seasonal activities such as a Haunted Walk Through, Visits with Santa, Earth Day programs, Art & Wellness events, and a Fall Festival.

Guests can shop the farm store and online shop for farm-raised eggs, local honey, and gifts, sponsor an animal, and use services such as a garden rototilling service. The farm operates an Earth Products division providing mulch, compost, and comp-soil, and showcases sustainable and alternative energy practices.

The petting zoo is typically open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting, from April through mid-November, with seasonal hours at other times. Admission is $8.50 per person, with free entry for children under age 2 and adults over age 80. Per USDA regulations, outside dogs are not permitted. Mastercard, Visa, and cash are accepted. Flamig Farm focuses on hands-on education around local food, energy conservation, and wellness while offering accessible, family-friendly farm experiences.
