What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
- Phone or Email Consult:
- This is the first REAL point of contact you have with Bailey Custom Homes after you say "Hey, call me, I am interested!" During this time, either by phone or an email exchange, we discuss your initial budget range and project goals. We will have a few integral questions for you and by the end of the discussion all parties will have a very clear understanding of the project and its moving pieces. This will include you understanding how we do business and if the budget range you have in mind is practical for your project goals. We then schedule a time for the company owner to come out and visit with you in your home to further discuss your project. Prior to this meeting you will receive some homework from us to help facilitate the initial meeting and get as many questions answered on both ends as possible.
- First meeting
- The company owner and possibly some staff will visit with you in your home. This is always a casual and fun environment. Feel free to have a cocktail while you chat with us (and have a beer ready for us as well!) and just relax. Plan on about 1-2 hours depending on scope and how much we talk, because we like to talk and we love to ask questions! The main goal of this meeting is to see how well we can play together on this team. We want to make sure we are all the right fit for each other.
- What's next?
- After this initial meeting, we go one of two ways. If you have an architect you bring in, then we stand back until the first phase is done with that person and then step in to take a look at the scope and make sure we are all still on the same page. If you go with our design team, then we enter into our design contract with you and get the ball rolling! This means drawing plans in accordance with the scope we discussed and the desires you cannot live without. We help you visualize your dreams by putting them to paper. We get the home designed and ready for permitting and then we put together the final budget based on these plans. Then, when you are ready, we start building your dream!

Managing Partner and Owner Shane Bailey is a licensed general contractor, certified home inspector, holds a BS in Business Management, a certificate in Carpentry and is a licensed Realtor.
