What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we like to listen to their program. We visit the site or the home. We send a proposal. Once the proposal is signed, we set up a time for measurements of the house. We draw the home as built. Generate design options and present them to homeowners. We tweak the designs to their design vision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor and Master Degrees in Architecture.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We usually have a percentage of the construction cost for medium to large size projects. For small ones we calculate the hours needed to complete design and construction documents for permitting.
How did you get started in this business?
I worked for some architectural firms for over 20 years, I acquired the knowledge to run my own firm.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Homeowners, contractors, real estate agents, sub/contractors, investors, etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I like to have fun playing soccer with my kids.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advise is do your research of hiring the best candidate for the work. Ask questions about their work experience and ask for work sample.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
