What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After introducing myself I ask what the problem is. Once I have evaluated the problem I offer a solution.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my general contractors license at the age of 23 I am 42 currently. I have been working in this field since I was old enough to drive.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes for the most part.
Standard Water heater installation is $250
Standard toilet installation is $100
Standard dishwasher installation is $125
Those are just a few examples.
How did you get started in this business?
I started out as a laborer when I was 16, and progressed rapidly since then.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds of customers. From retirement communities to other contractors, development projects etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
That is a tough one.... I would have to say anytime I work with a pleasant person I am fond of the experience.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would advise them to make sure that the professional treat the home as if it were their own. No work should be started until drop clothes are put down, and the scope of work, and price should be established before moving forward. I am a strong believer that a organized environment allows for a professional job. Keep an eye out for troublesome issues like tools being put on a counter, or a work belt being used up against cabinets.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A customer should be able to ask what repair is going to take place, and wether any additional problems could arise resulting from the repair. For example if a pipe has a leak is there going to be any additional problems caused from the leak itself.
