    Frequently asked questions

We do our best to make things really simple, keeping it to four easy steps...

Once we receive an inquiry, we (1) schedule a "Meet & Measure" where we review the space and bring over samples of turf to the homeowner.

We then translate our measurements and design ideas into a quote and (2) send it via email to the customer for review and signature.

Once we receive the signed paperwork and deposit, they are scheduled for (3) the installation, usually within just one to two weeks. If time is of the essence, we can often accommodate "rush" situations.

Step 4... Enjoy your new Lush Waterless grass!  It's that simple with us...

As the Installation Liaison (aka project mgr), i was trained by our Manufacturing warehouse over 6 years ago, and continue to refine both my own skills and the overall installation process with my staff so that we constantly set the standard in the industry.

We do all our own installations, with team members that have stayed with us for years.  We do NOT "Sell and Sub out" our work as do other companies.  Quality control is something important to us.

The industry average on pricing ends up being between $9-$12 per square foot [installed] for small or hard to reach areas, and between $6-$9 per square foot [installed] for larger and/or more easily accessible areas.

We use a proprietary worksheet that was created for us in Excel that will calculate the cost of an installation for us right down to the number of nails we use!  This level of cost accounting allows us to be very competitive. It is rare that anyone can compete with our pricing, unless they are cutting corners or quality somewhere.

Synthetic Dream Lawns was created after the Financial Crisis by asking one simple question... "what will be the new trends we should anticipate here in our country, and in our state?  What are the challenges we are facing and how will they be addressed?"

Then after accidently being introduced to the latest in synthetic grass seven years ago, and being very impressed by it, we realized that we had found a very exciting burgeoning industry that we could participate in and enjoy making a difference in the quality of peoples lives.

We are proud to say that we've worked with customers of all sizes... from 80 square foot pet runs to 8,000 sq ft properties in Bel Aire.  We have installed commercially for SnapChat in Venice, FoodJustforDogs, Independent Tire, Thomasville Furniture, and most recently... the new LA Lakers Facility in El Segundo.

We want to be the default local "go-to" guys in the SouthBay for all aspects of turf, putting greens and yard design.

    2 Important things...

First, customers should look beyond what an installer just installed a week ago, and look deeper into what they've installed a year ago.  That will be a better barometer of what type of product they are installing and how well they've installed it.

Second, you should never buy turf based on the texture. People are drawn to softer, more natural feeling turfs, but these turfs typically curl or mat down quickly from being walked and played on. Shorter, stiffer turfs are made for higher foot traffic and that should be the first criteria when choosing a turf - how will it specifically be used.

Customers should absolutely think through what else might need to be done in the yard in tandem with the transition to artificial grass.  Once you have a beautiful perfect lawn installed, it makes other weak or imperfect elements of the yard stand out. We recommend to our customers letting us repair, paint, clean, even change fencing, before installing the grass, so that everything is picture perfect when we're done.

The artificial lawn should be the LAST element installed. Second to last if you want to plant some delicate plants around the perimeter!
