What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We initially review the customer and the project, as the customer is also reviewing us and our qualifications. But our main job is to listen, listen, and listen, to make sure that we interpret the the wishes of the client correctly. We use a progress format via submitted preliminaries, confirmed comprehension, then confirm with the City at the preliminary stage, advance into construction documents: architectural first then structural engineering if required, energy report, then submittal to City per the clients agreement. Ongoing support is provided throughout the design and city approval process, additional support is provided in working with and or selecting a qualified contractor. We stay envolved and available through the construction process until you move in.

- Architectural Degree: USC 1976
- Construction Management Certif.: UCLA Extension 1977
- Architectural & Structural Design: 43 years.
- Trained with L.A. City Urban Development 1977 to 1982
- AeroSpace & Automotive Facilities Planning: 10 years
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
- We charge $3 per square foot for home additions, single story, existing 2000 sq. ft. house or less, without engineering.
- Second story Additions & new homes approx. 3% to 4% of projected construction cost with engineering, on non-hillside and topographic property sites.
- Commercial projects to be quoted.
How did you get started in this business?
I started my career while still in college working on my professors new home in Pasadena, CA.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with: Contractors, Developers, homeowners, Real Estate Investors, Business Owners, Architects, Structural Engineers, and product developers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We advise the customers to get reviews from current and past customers, with proof of project address. At Victoriantek we always offer a full list of past & present clients that our customers may speak with as our clients are pleased to do so.
