Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we speak on the phone we ask questions that help us get a good idea of what the client is looking for. Then we come out to assess the scope of work in person and get to know our clients needs, wants, and desires. Afterward we get to work on accomplishing a project in a professional and timely manner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B general contractors license.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There's no one price fits all from my experience. Every project is unique in its own way just like ever person is unique in his or her way.
How did you get started in this business?
I've always been fascinated with buildings and construction. I always felt building is an expression of creation so when I was 23 years old I started working for a construction company and worked my way up and I've enjoyed all of the aspects of this work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types truly all
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently did a project for a gentleman who had 2 contractors prior to hiring me. They took his money and didn't pass any inspection for a period of 16 months. This upset me a lot and I took a more personal interest in his project and made sure he would be treated and cared for fairly and respectfully. After 5 months of putting his complete house together I was extremely happy to give him his certificate of occupancy and a key to his new door.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Please check them out make sure there license is active, check references not just reviews and if it's a big project ask to see a house they recently worked on.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Style and the design they are looking for, a realistic budget (not from the national average we are in California), and present ideas to the contractors from photos on the internet or elsewhere.
