I am an animal lover/activist and have rescued many fur babies over the past 20 years as well as helped others with theirs. It’s a challenge to find reliable trustworthy care for our fur babies and this is why I want to help others. I have been both a human/non-human caregiver most of my adult life and this helps me to be the best and most experienced at caring for your pet.
Animals bring such joy into my life! They love unconditionally and simply want to love you regardless of what you look like or if you’ve been gone 5 mins or 5 hours:)
It is obvious that Jeannette really cares about your pets. She is very attentive to their needs. My regular pet sitter could not accommodate me this time due to the fact my trip was last minute. Jeannette stepped in quickly and had me relaxed from the start. I would highly recommend her services to anyone!!
The individual who was supposed to look after our dogs cancelled last minute, i.e. a few days before our scheduled 17-day vacation to up-state NY. I thought for a moment that I would have to do what I said I never would do and that is put them up in a kennel or just cancel our vacation. On my lunch break a couple days before we were to fly out I thought that I would just google if there were folks out there that cared for dogs in their homes in the area. It turned out there were several and I just pinged as many as I could over my lunch. The first person to respond was Jeanette of Loving Touch. Jeanette was very cordial and professional on the phone and I had a gut feeling that she would be perfect match. We had her over either that same night or the next to meet and to introduce her to the two spoiled brats she would be potentially caring for. Both of our dogs instantly took to Jeanette and I was more that impressed with the way she handled herself. So we offered Jeanette the job and she accepted. My wife and I were both on the plane travelling to our vacation destination and I think we were both a little nervous about essentially a stranger that we met once briefly staying at our house and looking after our beloved dogs. That feeling didn’t last very long at all as we were regularly updated with photographs and videos of the dogs getting along fantastically with Jeanette and really we saw how immensely the pups were enjoying themselves. Jeanette took amazing care of our house and even better care of the dogs. When we came back from vacation we witnessed a couple of firsts: 1.) All the plants in the house were still alive and, 2.) The dogs seemed more upset with Jeanette’s departure as opposed to being excited to see us come back home after 17-days. I hit the jackpot with Jeanette and wouldn’t want any other person staying in our home and watching our pets when we are away. I highly recommend using Jeanette as your pet/house sitter as she treated our home and our pets the way that we treat them. If she isn’t available, I would change my vacation dates to correspond to her availability. Jeanette is wonderful person and someone who we now consider a friend. In fact just recently Jeanette reached out to us and requested a visit with our dogs. I doubt that is common in this line of work but yet another example of what sets Jeanette apart from the rest in terms of her compassion for what she loves doing.
Jeanette is such an animal lover... animals are just drawn to her sweet and gentle nature. She has dogs and cats of her own and is perfectly capable of taking care of yours too. I highly recommend her!
Loving Touch has a pure heart of gold! It is nice knowing there is someone out there who will love and spoil our fur babies just as much as we do! Very professional and takes time out of her day to show them unconditional love!
I usually meet prior to accepting any new customers to ensure we are a good fit for each other. This is of course after initial formalities of general information by phone or through this site.
I have a background in nursing and caring for others, including animals, is what matters most to me.
I have a general baseline for my services which starts at $55 daily rate for one furbaby and depending on level of care (medications, special needs, etc.) the price can vary minimally.
Since I have loved and cared for my own fur babies for past 20+ years, they have crossed the rainbow bridge and I wanted to help others feel safe enough to leave their animals with someone who cares and will treat them like family while away or traveling.
I have worked with people who love their animals like a family member and won't settle on the care of their precious pets while traveling.
Recently, a couple had their caregiver cancel at last minute due to COVID19 and they reached out to me on Homeguide. We met right away and talked for hours in person. They were gone for 3 weeks and they were so thrilled with the care I gave, we are all going to go paddle boarding together:)
Make sure to meet with your pet sitter and ask lots of questions etc.
Questions about their job and hours available.
