Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We come out to the house and analyze the problem, expalin all issues and the best solution for making the repair. We will give in writng a minimum of two options for customer to consider with total pricing for each. All work done will have a 2 year warraty except for drain cleaning. .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate or SAIT with a journeyman cetrificate in plumbing & gas fitting. We learned all aspects of plumbing to include water heater, all fixtures, water softeners etc.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes we all carry a Pricing Manual that all technitions must use. The office personel do not have a Pricing Manual.
How did you get started in this business?
I followed my older brother into the plumbing industry and have always enjoyeddoing this kind of work. I also enjoy helping prople out making sure their plumbing system is in good safe working order.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly residential although we do comercial service & repair. We do not do bath tub installations or any new construction work.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
In Litchfield Park we were called out to clear a sewer line, we found it misaligned and filled with roots. We had to dig it up with a mini ecxavator to expose the pipe, repair the pipe and backfill to grade.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the company that you use is licensed, insured and bonded. Check with the registrar of contractors to be sure. If they are not, you are on your own if problems arise.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Stop asking what things will cost as we do not know until we look at it. Why would anyone want someone to just guesss at it over the phone. Phone quotes are always low just to get tehm in the door, it will change once they gat there.
The best solutuon is to have the technition come out to the house and look at the problem so they can give you an exact price in writing. Isn't that what you really want?
Most companies charge to come out and perform this service, we do not from 7 AM to 7 PM except Sundays and holidays.
