How did you get started in this business?
The owner got his interest in bugs beginning at an early age when he delighted(?) his parents with an infestation of Praying Mantis. He had brought some egg cases in from the cold one winter in Ohio. When they hatched there were baby Praying Mantis everywhere.
He grew up in Scouting and is an Eagle Scout.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Commericial and residential ants to termites to rodents and and wasp and everything in between.
Homebuyers and businesses in and around Phoenix and Central Arizona.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
People often make incorrect identification on insects and their treatments but this story could have been very dangerous.
A friends parents had a mobile home and the landscapers noticed honeybees entering the skirting. They said they could take care of them, they put on a black plastic garbage bag over their head cut a few eye holes and proceeded to spray an aerosol into the void. These were Africanized Honeybees and they became immediatley agravated and attacked chasing them into a tree and stinging them several times and down the road. Never attempt to take on bees in Arizona, most are Africanized. We wear bee suits and other protection, they can stay aggitated for up to 8 hours and sting anything in and about the neighborhood.
