What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We want to educate you as much as possible on your door systems current condition. Something broke and its usually due to age in most cases. We inspect every aspect of the garage door and opener with a fine tooth comb to make sure we can give you the best information to make an informed decision.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

First thing you'll notice on our profile that is not on the others is our verified License. With that comes insurance and bonding as well. We've been professionally qualified by the Registrar of Contractors. We've learned from the best in the industry as well. Our hands on experience at multiple companies before we started our own has given us a broad understanding of garage door repairs and installations. We are intimately familiar with all brands of garage doors and garage door motors. With thousands of door repairs under our belts, we've seen most everything and haven't backed down from any challenge.

Most garage doors work in a similar fashion, but not all garage doors are created equal. Our routine is to do a thorough 21 point inspection on all of the common failure points and give you multiple options tailored to you. Multiple options equals a fit for everyone. Our recommendation is to schedule a service visit to be given the most accurate price.

How did you get started in this business?

A friend had been hired to take over a company and needed good people he could trust. He reached out to me to ask if I would be interested in a job and I agreed. Having been a cubicle hero for many years, it was refreshing to get out and work with my hands. Repairing something has a very satisfying effect and have been loving it ever since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all kinds of customers. I love meeting new people and like sharing my passion for the industry. My favorite part of finishing a job for a customer is there reaction to how quiet there garage door is upon completion when its been fixed properly.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I recently helped a gentleman who was a metal worker and owned his own shop that was in his garage. His garage door motor and his garage door springs had been giving him problems for 10 years, and 9 of those years there was a broken part that rendered it nonfunctional. It was always a struggle to come up with the money to repair it all properly and I decided to remove all labor costs to get him back together. After 10 years his garage door and motor finally opened and closed as if nothing had been broken. He was very happy with the result and I couldn't help but share in his joy.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Our advice is to always fix it right the first time. Most customers frustrations come from having a continual problem and never getting a resolution when hiring the wrong company or having a technician lacking in training to fix it right. Many times those companies are cheaper and oft times those companies don't return your calls when you need them again. Check for a license, and background check verification and read reviews and look for names of employees in those reviews. Also make sure they back up all there work with parts AND labor warranties. Also make sure they are responsive any time you reach out for help.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Am I ready to purchase now or am I still budgeting for the repair? Are you looking for a quick band-aid type repair? Are you looking for a long term repair?
