Timby’s Paint & Finish Stripping is a Portland, Oregon shop specializing in dip-and-strip paint removal for antique furniture, vintage woodwork, doors, windows, and clean metal. Founded in 1995, the shop removes latex paints, old varnishes, milk paint, stains, and especially lead paint using non-flammable, no-VOC solutions. Services also cover wicker and other materials, with capacity for millwork up to 12 feet, subject to size limits.
In addition to stripping, the shop services mortise locks and fits keys to restore function, performs minor welding repairs, and provides referrals to vetted contractors for related needs. The operation expanded in 2003 at its current North Lombard location.
