Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to take on larger projects and that the homeowner has architectural drawings drawn up by a licensed, bonded and insured architect. After the homeowner has possession of drawings in a PDF form, I ask that they send me the PDF so I can take a look at them and then I'd schedule a site visit for a walkthrough/ meet and greet to further discuss project goals, budget and expectations. If our mutual goals and expectations are compatible then we can begin to work on preparing a budget estimate. On completion of a budget estimate and a second site meeting to present and go over the budget estimate, the homeowner is left to decide if Bradley J. Rodgers Remodeling is the contractor of their choice to make improvements to their home. Contracts signed and a schedule is prepared to beging work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Six years of college, eight years as program coordinator of a counseling program for teenage fathers. Left social work in 1985 to pursue my passion for remodeling and woodworking. Construction management training, Lead Based Paint training as well as Building Sciences Fundamentals training by Building Sciences Corporation. Voted "Best of Thumbtack in 2015", and nominated for a national award from the Associated Builders and Contractors Association for "Carpenter of the Year" by the Rafn Company in 2000.
