MorLite Electric LLC
About
My name is Larry Dedmon, I am a VA Master licensed Electrician and lifetime Hampton Roads resident. I have been doing electrical service in the area since 2003.
I started MorLite Electric LLC with the goal of providing a better experience for my customers by offering up front prices with no hourly rates, and putting a licensed electrician on every job.
This is because when you pay at an hourly rate, you are going to find yourself being billed for drive time to your home, trips to get parts, phone calls, and just plain INEFFICIENCY! A company billing at an hourly rate has no incentive to send their best technicians because they make more money when the job takes longer!
The fact is, just because a company is licensed, that does not mean the same for their technicians. Most companies ONLY licensed electrician is the owner! MorLite Electric LLC beleives this is a deceptive and unethical business practice and pledges to put a licensed electrician on every job!
We hope you will choose us for all your electrical service needs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to fully understand my customers needs before being dispatched to their home, if they have a problem that can be solved over the phone or just have general questions, I am always happy to help. Otherwise, I can give an up front price for just about any job as long as the customer can answer a few questions!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master Licensed Electrician
Licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I can give up front prices for near any job over the phone. For more complicated jobs, a refundable $39 fee can get you a detailed estimate
How did you get started in this business?
I have been working as an electrician since I finished high school in 2003!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with homeowners, small business owners, property managers, as well as other contractors
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Many people claim they can do electrical work, and while it is true that many people can make it work, few people have the training and knowledge to make it work SAFELY. There are so many variables involved with your electrical system, it can be very easy for someone to make a dangerous mistake without even knowing it. When hiring an electrician, always check with the DPOR to make sure not only that the company is licensed, but that the technician on site is licensed as well.
