About
You will find me to be a laidback, easygoing and trustworthy house and pet sitter. I have years of experience as both a home owner and a pet owner, as well as considerable experience house/pet sitting throughout the mid-Atlantic area. I've been awarded the "Best of Thumbtack" award twice, and have excellent reviews there. I truly care about the animals and homes placed in my care and am respectful, responsible and honest. House and pet sitting gives me the opportunity to spend time with other animals, and get to know new areas (whether it's here locally in Hampton Roads or in homes throughout the mid-Atlantic). As a pet owner myself, I enjoy offering other owners peace of mind when leaving their loved ones behind for an out-of-town trip. I know how important it is for me that my own kitty is safe and loved while I'm away, so I like that I can do that for other people, as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new customers, I always set up a meet-and-greet prior to pet sitting. This is just to make sure that I'm a great fit for the client's needs, and to get to know the animals and home I will be caring for. Assuming all goes well with that-- as it usually does! -- we schedule services from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been pet sitting for many years and have handled many situations -- including emergency care [only once, thankfully!] and routine medication distribution -- with confidence, calm and a great emphasis on pet comfort and care. I've also owned dogs and cats throughout my life, and have calmly and confidently addressed all the fun things that can happen with those situations, too -- including animal bites, medical emergencies, etc.
I was previously certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. That certification has expired, and I am looking for local courses to renew!
