By far the most rewarding part of my job is that I get to educate people. I love being able to explain what I am doing to my customers so they feel comfortable and can eave the inspections with a new knowledge of their home. It's helpful that I am a people person, but I love sharing knowledge.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I start with answering any initial questions about the property that you may have, after which we go around the house identifying and documenting any issues and educating you on the house and its systems. The Inspection typically takes 2-3 hours and the Inspection Report is delivered to your inbox before you leave the property. I cover the report with you and answer any final questions so when you leave, you know the property inside and out!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am licensed to complete Certified Home Inspections in Virginia and have been a Contractor for 21 years. I continue my education with Inspection and Construction related classes and also keep current with new Building Codes and techniques

Pricing for home inspections is based on the square footage of your potential home. 

How did you get started in this business?

Homes have always been my passion! I started working on them with my father at a young age, and have never stopped. I have a 30 year history of loving and working on homes, and 12 years of inspecting over 4000 of them. You could say homes are in my blood. 

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with customers of every walk of life, every background, and every  personal situation. Everyone experiences the same level of customer service and attentiveness. That is the reason we have such great reviews.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Like in any professional field, experience is tantamount to performance. To truly be an effective Inspector, there needs to be real world experience doing the trades you are inspecting.
 I would want a doctor that has actually done procedures to operate on me, not the one who just read about them.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

The best recommendation I can make is list your expectations so that you can explain them to your professional. They should be happy to answer back with how they plan to honor and address them.
