American Appliance focuses first and foremost on honesty, fair prices and prompt service. We offer limited weekend service, and 24/7 service for emergencies related to heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and leaks. We have courteous and knowledgeable technicians who strive for excellence. We are happy to help answer questions related to repair or replacement over the phone. We want to help our customers make quick and informed decisions as to whether to proceed with repairs. We strive to make quick and accurate estimates of costs of repairs or replacements.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We come out to your home to diagnos and repair the issuse for the dispatch fee. We can usually get out within a couple days. If we don't have the parts and have to order it we will come back and install it without the dispatch fee for the second trip.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
American Appliance now has 12 full time technicians serving from Centerville to Provo and everything in between. We also have full-time and part time office staff. Since 2000, we service HVAC and appliances in Salt Lake County and Utah County. Since 2005, we have been servicing home warranty companies such as American Home Shield, First American Home Buyers, Old Republic Home Protection and Elevate Home Warranty for appliance and HVAC repair.

Our dispatch fee is $70. We come out and discover the problem notify you of the problem the cost of parts and labor to repair. Our labor is billed out at $96 and hour broken into 15 min intervals.
How did you get started in this business?
In 1985, Merrill Kunz established his own appliance repair business known as Kunz Appliance. At first, Merrill focused mostly on household appliance repair. In 1986 he expanded into HVAC. Merrill did all of the work himself, and at times he nearly hired more technicians because of the heavy work load. It was a small company and all of the calls were from word of mouth. By 2000, Merrill began to hire additional technicians to handle all the incoming work.

We work with all types of customers businesses, restaraunts, property management, home owners, and home warenty companies like American Home shield, Elevate and LandMark.
