Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer a completely turnkey service. Simply give us a call to book your free in-home estimate! We will bring out all the samples, measure, discuss options, quote, schedule, and install all flooring types. We take care of all the details like furniture moving and the painting of quarter round.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We put greater emphasis on effort and attention to detail than years of experience. We see a lot of places that say "30 years of experience" that offer poor customer service. Be rest assured that we only retain the very best installers, and offer a premium service compared to your run of the mill flooring store.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is fair and consistant. We don't confuse you with specials that claim to have "free installation", or "buy 2 rooms get 1 free". We all know that's a scam. We have our tablets programmed with our costs to do every detail of the job, with a fair and consistant markup to ensure we can stay in business. You will find that our pricing is very competitive compared to the big box stores, with service comparable to a "custom" flooring service provider.
How did you get started in this business?
Most of us have been in the flooring business for 5-10 years, but this venture was started in 2018.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We will take residential and commercial jobs both large and small. Due to our crew size and schedule, we are unable to take small repairs or jobs under $1,500 retail. For instance, we can't come patch a piece of carpet in your closet at a price that would be very competitive. That is better suited for a handyman.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Beware of pricing schemes or bait and switch tactics. It's easy to quote a very low price per foot for installation of a given flooring type, only to then make up for the profit loss by charging a ton for furniture moving, appliances, or other miscellaneous items. Make sure you are looking at a total price for the comprehensive solution you need. Is the contractor going to fix subfloor imperfections? Does the job need quarter round? Are they providing it? Are they painting it? If not, now you have to hire a painter, who will then need to move all the furniture again.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How do you plan to use the floor? Do you have small children or large pets? Does it need to be waterproof? How long do you plan to stay in the home? When you leave the home will you sell it or rent it? How do you want the house to look? Do you have photos or examples of the look you are tryng to resemble?
