We started Our own Family Valued Business in 2006. We are licensed by the State of Texas, Insured with a 3 million liabality policy. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We Listen to what they have to say. We let them explain why we were called there. If they do not have a working knowledge of thier System we take the time to educate them in terms they can understand. Then we start investigating the reason why they called us to begin with. After diagnosing the problem we educate them so they have an understanding what is broken and do not make any repairs untill they fully understand the cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 45 years in the HVAC field of commercial and residential systems. My Son attends training annually and is Nate certafied in Gas furnaces. My background includes 10 Years with Johnson Controls
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We do have standard pricing for service. Straight forward pricing is calculated from standard labor guide with 40% mark up on parts. Unusuall jobs are quoted as time and material.
How did you get started in this business?
I actually stated working with refrigeration in one of My fathers Ice plants in 1969. I Discovered my passion for helping home owners and Small business owners with thier heating cooling needs in 1990 then formed my family owned family run HVAC contracting company in 2008.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our clients range from fixed income to Dr's and Attourneys, State Judges, Law inforcement, Medical staff, to Vets, Especially disabled Vets. We take care of several Medical Buildings to County Buildings including a Courthouse.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently started buying systems direct from the manufacter. This cuts out over 35% that the middlmans was getting and we love passing that savings on to our client. We recently saved one client over 3,000.00 and also upgraded him to a 20 seer system for what the average price of a 14 seer system cost. Call us and we can explain.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are Licensed by the State they reside in, Make sure thier license is current and they carry at least the minimum Liabality Insurance required by thier State. We carry 3 million to protect our clients.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Any customer should try to get a basic understanding of thier HVAC. They need to have at least a small amount of knowledge of how thier home is heated and cooled. If a customer is armed with some knowledge they are less likley to be sold something they do not need. Once they decide on a licensed professional they need to establish a trust with that professional. That trust must be earned by that professional, it cannot be given.
