What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Residentially, we require all pertinent contact and service information in order to schedule an appointment. Our technicians collect payment onsite via cash, credit card, or check. Commercially, we require the same information plus any work orders or purchase order forms required by the business. For the first visit we collect payment, however, we offer commercial billing services for future appointments.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Wired Electrical Services works closely with Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), which provides our technicians with the skills and knowledge required in the electrical field. Though it goes without saying, our technicians are the main part of this business, so we want to ensure they have all the skills and tools they need by paying for a portion of the tuition for IEC, provided they maintain good grades. This helps to continue their motivation and advancement in the field, and inevitably helps them provide our clients with timely and precise services.

Most of our services fall under our time and material rate. We can provide a detailed quote for those with an extensive project.
Generators are quoted free of charge.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ensure that any electrician you are looking to hire is licensed AND insured for your protection. Electrical issues are risky enough without hiring underqualified personnel and potentially costing yourself more stress and money in the long run.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
We highly recommend thinking about the project or issue at hand, the material needed, the location of project/issue, and availablility to be present at the time of service. For ceiling fan or recessed lighting installation, it is best to know before hand if you plan to provide all the material required and how tall the ceilings are. Most lighting installations for ceilings taller than 12 feet require a specialty ladder. For troubleshooting calls, plan to be present for at a couple of hours. Since the technician is having to locate the issue prior to resolving it, these service calls can take longer than usual.
