Offering Custom training options: Individual Instruction, Professional Training, Small Groups, occasional Board & Train of only small dogs & client's Small Dog Boarding. Small/Toy Dog specialist.
Bachelor of Science Degree (Univ. Of Houston) Animal Health Mgt Certificate ( Houston Community College), Certified Trainer; longtime member APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers); Foster Mom/Volunteer with Houston Cares Animal Rescue; numerous client, veterinary & pet shop recommendations.
I'm always professional, very dependable, trustworthy & skilled via continuing education & longtime experience with many dogs, cats & prevention of & finding solutions for many animal behavioral Issues.
After 40 years I still LOVE working with & helping dogs & their humans to have their BEST lives TOGETHER.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial telephone interview is required to discuss specific training & behavioral counseling service needs, determination if client is within my service area & explanation of service options offered & fees.
If mutually agreed, a home visit is scheduled to begin training services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology & Psychology UH; Animal Health Veterinary Tech course completed HCC; TEA Certified Animal Training Course completed; numerous Continuing Education Courses/seminars attended from APDT & other Sources; publications from Various professionals in the Animal Behavioral field.
Kat established Kat's Animal Training in 1982 & has continued offering training & behavioral counseling services for 38+ years.
Prior work experience for the State of Texas in Children's Protective Services ( caseworker) & Day Care Licensing Division ( Supervisor).

Chose to change careers to start my own business to work with dogs, cats & their human families.
