Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule a free estimate where we view the conditions, measure and workout the details regarding the r-value of the door, color and windows. We give you a quote on the spot. There is never any pressure to purchase from us today. We make our quote good for 10 days to allow our clients an opportunity to read our reviews and make a decision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Charles Anderson is a former Navy Seabee and came up through the trades. He started out working for his uncle's masonry company at a very young age. We also worked as a framer, drywaller, roofer, door and window installations before moving to Los Angeles where he became a Project Manager for high end residential home builder. Charles continued his on the job training by working as an estimator for a hospital development company honing his compression of blueprints. Charles them became a construction manager and oversaw the daily management of personal, scheduling and finances. He achieved his LEED certification as well as CSI-CDT, CHST and Associated Construction Manager for Heery International. But, Charles came home to care for his Grandfather and started Revamp Garage Door Company. He happily resides in Squirrel Hill and services the Greater Pitt Area.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We service clients who just need a door and or opener replacement. But since Charles is an actual builder, every once in a while he will challenge himself by doing what everone else said could not be done.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always compare apples to apples. We offer 1 level of product. The Best. While you can choose r-value, we only use heavy duty hardware. With the purchase of an opener, we always add a reinforcement strut and an operator bracket.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Simply research the company's reviews. While no one is perfect, truly satisfied customers go into great detail about the service and communication of Revamp Garage Door Company.
