What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We are here to provide the service that the customer really needs. Asking questions, sharing photos, discussing the customer's main concerns. Understanding the need and coming prepared, helps to eliminate the cost for unnecessary return visits. Our goal is Done Once, Done Right.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our company began back in the mid '70's with the wood stove movement. 2nd generation experience, fortified with specific training on Chimney Relining, SimTech gas technical training and SimTech wood technical training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every home is unique and many of our services are customized to the customer's needs. However, things like chimney sweeping comes in a few standard ranges. If it is for a wood burning appliance - a chimney sweep is $179 plus tax. If it is for an oil furnace or a comination fuel such as wood/coal burning unit the cost is $195 plus tax. We offer discounts for combination of services and products.
How did you get started teaching?
Word of Mouth. Customers sharing word of their experience with us has led to others contacting us - asking for evaluation of their own circumstances. New customers that have never had any experience with fireplaces contact us for basic operation and inspections, for a warm and safely burning fireplace.
