I got involved with my own Inspection company several years ago when I wanted to start my own business using the customer service and process oriented skills I developed in my previous careers.
I care deeply about your home and the process you are about to go through either selling or buying and strive to give you detailed meaningful information to guide you through the process. The typical onsite inspection will take 2.5-3 hours as I cover every detail inside and out of the home that I am able to access for a visual inspection.
I am trained and certified by AHIT and a member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and follow the ASHI guidelines for home inspections. I follow all the regulations that the state of Pennsylvania requires including E&O and General Liability Insurance Coverage.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process includes, initial conversation and a review of the property specifications by phone. Agreement of fees and schedule a date for the inspection.
Meet at the property with the client and their realtor is prefered as "show and tell" will give the client a better understanding of the home than just reading a report.
The typical single family home takes 2.5-3 hours to inspect and a condominium about an hour less. The report is emailed typically the next day. Radon testing is a 48 hour test and the report usually be provided 2-3 days after setting the equipment.
I am available anytime before and after submitting the final reports for phone conversations or email questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Home Inspections is my third career, I was a Sales and Marketing Professional for 20 years and a professional Chef for 15 years. I developed strong customer service, professional and process oriented skills as a foundation to build my skills and knowledge as a home Inspector.
I have had formal Home Inspector training through AHIT and additional continuing education in termite and wood destroying organisms, radon testing, pool inspections, sUAS Drone flight survey training, advanced classes and seminars in home inspection components such as electrical and HVAC.
I am active in many Home Inspector oriented blog sites sharing information, teaching and learning from other inspectors. I view my profession as one of "Continuing Education"

How did you get started in this business?
I made the decision that at this stage of my life I was ready and wanted to own my own company. I was still working as a chef and opening my own restaurnt was too risky and the investment is huge. I have always nbeen inteerest4ed in homes, having purchased 4-5 homes and doing various remodeling and Home Inspections was a natural progression.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all types of customers, buyers, sellers, realtors, investors, young, old, first time home buyers and the seasoned home owner.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask to see an example of their reports. Not all reports are equal. It takes time and knowledge to put together a report that has any meaning and gives you anything other than the age of the roof, and HVAC equipment/water heater. Inspectors that lowball their prices are going to low ball the level of services they supply.
