What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The inspection process takes approximately 2 1/2 hours. I cover the home from top to bottom to give you a complete thorough overview of the home. The inspection time is also a time for you to get to know the home better. I am there for you so feel free to ask questions. I will email your report the next day and if you have questions once again I am there for you. I also provide radon testing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years in construction covering everything from building homes, remodeling, renovating homes and 10 years in historic restoration. I've spent the last 10 years exclusively in home inspection. I am certified through ASHI and hold a Ohio State license for home inspection and radon testing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on the square footage of the home with most homes being between $300.00 to $400.00. Radon testing is $155.00.
How did you get started in this business?
I started in home inspection as an extension of a construction business I operated. More and more clients were asking for me to look at various projects which then lead into home inspection full time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I primarily work for clients that are in the process of buying a home. I also have performed a number of pre-listing inspections for clients looking to sell their home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend hiring someone with solid construction experience and that is established.
