Cavelli Home Inspections, LLC
About
I have been told by Realtors and buyers that I am very thorough. I do not perform quick inspections. My job is to help the buyer at a very important phase of the home buying process. My interests are with my clients (not realtors). My goal is to treat every inspection as if I was buying the home. I have been a firefighter for 14 years, and safety is a primary concern. See my website at Cavellihomeinspections.com
I enjoy doing home inspections because I feel it is something I'm meant to do. I take my time , and have a very good eye for defects or things that may seem "out of place". I enjoy providing people with the truth about their prospective home.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My new customers will receive an email before their home inspection describing what to expect. They will receive a preinspection agreement that they may read and sign online.
My inspections generally take 4 hours. I do not have my clients or realtors follow me as I do my job. I do not require anyone to be present at my inspections. If a client or realtor prefers to be present, I will discuss my findings after inspecting each area of the home. The exterior, basement, first floor, attic, etc.
I take hundreds of pictures at every inspection. My reports will be delivered within 24 hours, sometimes on the same day depending on my workload.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an InterNACHI certified inspector.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are primarily based on the size and age of the home.
How did you get started in this business?
I come from a large family. At one point, I had 4 sisters and one brother that were involved in real estate. I have been a residential contractor and have done general contracting for many years. I am also a full time fire fighter. I have developed an eye for defects. One day I was at a family dinner and a few of my siblings were basically telling me “ YOU NEED TO DO THIS!” “ You would be perfect for this.” I thought to myself, Ya you’re probably right!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with customers of all types including first time homebuyers, out of state buyers, investors and more.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I always consider it a great compliment when a realtor refers a member of their family to me for an inspection.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Beware of the home inspector that is more concerned with keeping the realtors happy than doing a good inspection for you! This is a very real and common problem.
I am not one of those inspectors and I do not seek out realtors to give me business. I work for my clients only and I will never “tone down” my inspections for anyone.
A home inspection is a very time consuming job. I will spend over and hour just on the exterior portion of the home. I commonly spend an hour just in the basement! If a home inspector is completing the full inspection in 1-2 hours, I’d be concerned.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How many pages are your reports in general? Mine are 40-60 on average.
Do your reports contain pictures and accurate descriptions of defects found?
How much time do you spend on average at each inspection?
When will your report be completed and delivered?
Will your report be emailed to me?
