Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All service begins with meeting the owners and their pets at their home. Rates are agreed upon and requests for specific service according to each pets needs. A basic agreement form is completed. And, we take it from there!
How did you get started in this business?
I started this business because I personally had difficulty finding help for my pets when i needed to travel. I decided that i could be the solution to having a trustworthy and dependable dog walker and pet sitter.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The great part of this job is you get to know a huge variety of people from all walks of life. I've made some wonderful people many of whom have become good friends! And, the common denominator is our passion for our pets.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to several dog walkers/pet sitters, meet them personally, and trust your instincts. Some people prefer a large organization where several walkers could potentially be involved in your pet care. Others want to bond with a smaller organization. Definitely check references!! And, make sure they are fully insured.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
You should ask about their experience, if they've worked with your breed of dog. Also, ask what typical time spent with your pet would entail. Ask for proof of insurance. Again, ask for references.
