Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we will gather as much information over the phone prior to a visit. This helps evaluate what the customer's needs are, what they are looking to accomplish. Some of their questions may also be answered during this preliminary process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our electricians are required to take a update electrical code course to stay current with all the new changes and safety requirements along with the standard licensing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We offer competitive pricing, yearly contracts for services calls to your businesses or apartment buildings without having to worry about extra costs for each call or emergency service.
Service calls can be considered small or misc projects that could last anywhere from a few hours to 2-3 days. Circumstances may vary, but generally service calls are priced & billed by the hour while specific installations for larger projects would be done under contract with fixed price. Depending on the scope of the work involved a deposit may be required for upfront costs.
How did you get started in this business?
Comparing options I had while job searching, I have several opportunities. Electrical seemed to best fit what I was looking for and was hired on by a great company that also provided good benefits & training. The rest was a natural process of gathering more and more tools with each new job which also lead to more responsibilities.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential Properties & Home Owners, Professionals, Business Owners, Property Managers, Rental Owners, Real Estate Agents / Agencies, Movie Industry & related (movie special effects sets)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Troubleshooting is the most fun & rewarding. There is a problem, something is broken and satisfaction finding a solution for the customer.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking for a person to work in my home or business, I want to make sure they are honest, trustworthy, friendly, detail orientated, licensed, insured, work well with other trades, provide information in a easy to understand manner.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Nothing! It's the professional's job to help them through all the steps. Including answering any questions they might have prior to the work being done. Some typical thoughts would be; What is the outcome | total job description of what needs to be done If there are a lot of misc things, make a list & prioritize which should be completed first Have a budget in mind. Have idea of when you would like the work to be done & when you are available to show property / go over details or have someone else there to show the electrician. Plan a time that works for you and the electrician to speak on the phone prior to them coming.
