Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss the project in thorough detail to ensure I have a clear understanding of what it is the customer desires. After which, I provide the customer with my thoughts on the project, my potential approach and service providence and ensure we maintain an open means of communication throughout.
I always strive to provide a timely, personable approach. Some customers desire details regarding the project while others desire my service so they don't have to be bothered. Either way, this facet of the project is understood during our initial communication, whether its over the phone or through email.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess over 9 years of electrical experience, consisting of commercial, residential and industrial electrical work. That work consisted of electrical installation and maintenance of electrical systems within large schools, three story administration buildings, office buildings, new residences, residential additions to industrial shutdowns and upgrades.
I've studied both theoretical and practical electrical applications at both the community college and university levels- North Carolina State University.
I am a NC Licensed Electrical Contractor/ Electrician, having passed the state exam on the first attempt. Licensed and insured.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Smaller repairs, service work, small scale troubleshooting and straightforward installs are charged by the job type. If the issue turns out to require more labor and potentially more involved than originally anticipated, it will be discussed with my clients before further work is done.
How did you get started in this business?
Prior to becoming licensed and starting my own business, I worked with a large electrical contracting firm in the state where I learned the trade, the industry standards and practical applications of the National Electrical Code.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential, commercial and light industrial. Small business owners often; specialty workshops, jewelry stores, woodworking, retail and restaurant
