Experience and education levels vary among our network members, but all of our providers have completed a thorough application process and have provided proof of their professional dedication to force- and fear-free methodologies.

Each of our Network members is an independent business owner and as such, they have their own rate schedules. Clients pay their chosen trainers or behavior consultants directly -- the SPCA does not collect any fees.

SPCA Wake is passionately dedicated to humane, force-free pet training and behavior modification. Humane, science-based methods keeps pets in their loving homes by enhancing the human-animal bond and effecitvely solving behavior problems (including aggression and anxiety) without the fallout that frequently accompanies coercive techniques. We created our Trainer Network in order to provide affordable, high quality pet training services to every member of the community, regardless of their household income.

Any pet guardian who'd like to see a positive change in their pets' behavior should contact one of our network members. We can help you humanely and effectively address training and behavioral issues from basic manners and obedience to the modification of aggression and anxiety.

Behavior problems are among the top reasons pet animals are relinquished to shelters in our country. Keeping pets in their loving homes and out of the sheltering system not only keeps families together; it also reduces the burden on community shelters, making it possible for those agencies to provide services and resources to other animals. We are proud of the work we do for pets and their people! The SPCA of Wake County is striving to end the euthanasia of adoptable pets in our community by the year 2025. The Force-Free Training Network contributes directly to that goal.

Please contact one of the training partners in our network directly. They are listed here: https://spcawake.org/services/pet-behavior/. During your conversations, feel free to ask whatever questions you have about the trainers' experience, education, and fee schedule, as well as the behavior and training goals you're hoping to achieve.

Feel free to ask whatever comes to mind. Nothing is off limits. Our trainers and consultants understand that your pet is a member of your family and that his or her problems are just as important as things your other family members might experience!
