Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
TruGuard is committed to a stress-free experience. It all starts with the in-home consultation. Book an appointment, and we will handle the rest. Appointments can last from 30 min to 2 hours depending on how you like to shop and the complexity of your project. We will stay with you as long as you need to answer all questions. Once we find the solution that works for you, we agree to cash or payment terms, and schedule your install.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Everybody in the TruGuard family receives 100's of hours of computer based and hands on training. We are licensed, insured, and possess several nationally recognized certifications and manufacturer certifications and designations as well. We meet weekly with our reps f to learn the latest installation techniques and tips to get the most longevity and performance out of each product we carry. You project will be overseen by a personal Project Manager AND Field Manager, ensuring your project is completed on-time and smoothly. Every installer is scrutinized for certifications, references, years of experience, and overall talent. We aren't looking for a bargain when it comes to installers, we are looking for the best available at a good value.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We simply offer the best products from the best manufacturers, using the most qualified installers, at an everyday great value. Our prices are always all-inclusive, transparent, and honest, and you will not pay your balance until you are completely satisfied with result.
How did you get started in this business?
I also love the opportunity to work in my community and get to meet so many amazing people. I love construction and homes!
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with customers looking to replace roofing, siding, windows, gutters, doors, and flooring in their homes. We have thousands of solutions, products, and financing options to meet any need.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Every project differs just slightly in complexity, customer desires, and timelines required. We recently completed a project in partnership with Purple Heart Homes, where we provided a complete roof, including shingles for a veteran. That was very special for us.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get someone who makes you feel comfortable. If they don't act professional when you call them, or when they are in your home, they aren't likely going to be a professional when they manage your project or aftercare. The lowest bidder is rarely the person that is going to provide the quality you are looking for. Make sure you have someone who stands behind their work. You don't want to find yourself out-of-warranty or can't find the company six months, three years, ten years later. 80% of complaints to the BBB against home improvement contractors are comprised of customers who use the lowest bidder. Everyone is in business to make money, so the "one week only sale" and the "buy 2 get 1 free" stuff is merely a gimmick. When you compares actual apples-to-apples, the price variance from one company to the next is not that much. Use who you think will do the BEST job... this is an investment in your home.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What is your warranty, what does it cover, and for how long? Will I have a Project Manager? Construction can be unpredictable, especially when there is weather or unforeseen issues. How can I reach someone if something comes up? What roofing components do you include in a roof replacement?
