My name is Scott Lynton, owner and operator of Lynton Electric. I have been in the trade for over 18 years, doing residential and commercial electrical installations on various size projects. All of my employees have very good communication skills, are very safety oriented and knowledgeable in the trade.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I personally perform every estimates and in most cases, will give you a verbal estimate before leaving the home or office pertaining to work order. I will send you a formal estimate with details of each item, If the price is agreeable we can start at your request.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed Electrical Contractor by the State Board of North Carolina. License #29848.

I use the National Electrical Code Cost book, 2016 edition for all my pricing.
How did you get started in this business?
Doing custom homes is South Charlotte and Lake Norman Country club sub divisions.

General contractors, home owners, property management companies and other trade professionals that we meet on various projects.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get several estimates and go with the most knowledgeable and professional candidate. Do not hire someone who is not licensed by the state in which you live. If someone says they are "a certified electrician", it doesn't mean they are licensed. Do your research and read reviews.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Safety for your loved ones, and the safety of your property.
