My dog training and grooming shop is located in Gastonia NC. Our new Dog Training Center is a 5,000 sq ft enrichment center where you can bring your dog for agility training, one-on-one personal training, group training or to host dog birthday parties. I am a graduate of the Animal Behavior College (and a current mentor for future dog training students from the college). for dog training and a graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming. My career began over 30 years ago with dog training and 20 years ago with grooming. I LOVE dogs and have a passion in my profession. My staff and I strive for the best results possible in every situation. Being an owner operator of my own company means I get to enjoy every aspect of customer interaction. Exceeding my customers expectations is crucial to my business development. My prices are fair and very affordable.
My methods are simple and easy to follow. My goal is to help owners bridge the communication gap with their dogs and make training fun!
Boarding rates are very affordable! We charge $30 a night. I only have room for 8-10 boarding dogs at a time. They are kenneled, not crated!
Working with dogs is relaxing to me. I get a lot of satisfaction when the dog owner sees their pet after I'm done grooming.
With dog training...,I like to see the owners begin to enjoy their dogs again. Training is easy to do, once I show owners how.
Working with dogs is very satisfying and therapeutic for me. Whether its grooming or training, I love the personal interactions with the dogs.
I like to challenge myself to be the best I can be and strive to exceed my own limitations.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For my grooming customers, I like to understand their life style so that I can taylor a custom grooming that is easy to maintain and cost effective. I find out the history of past grooms and what they liked about it or didn't like about it.
For my training clients, I like to speak with them about what possible triggers their dog may have that causes certain behaviors. I address the root of the problem, not minimize it and move on. I gives me great pleasure to see the bond of a dog and his owner when training begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming as well as a graduate of the Animal Behavior College for dog training.

I charge a flat rate of $95 per one hour session for dog training.. We focus on the basic commands of Come, Sit, Down, Stay and Loose leash walking. One the behavior side, we focus on, Jumping, Door bolting, Leave it, Place, Food rushing, Claiming space and House breaking,
How did you get started in this business?
I volunteered at the local SPCA when I was very young and fell in love with the idea of making dogs look and act better. I was addicted.
