    Frequently asked questions

My typical process starts with meeting with the customer to discuss the work they’re wanting completed and getting a clear understanding of their vision for the project. From there, I take all necessary measurements, evaluate the jobsite conditions, and go over different options, materials, and layout possibilities with them. Once I have all the details needed, I put together a detailed quote based on the scope of work and labor involved so the customer knows exactly what to expect before the project begins.
I have over 10 years of hands-on experience specializing in cabinet installation, cabinet layout, custom built-ins, and trim work. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on a wide range of residential projects involving detailed cabinet fitting, jobsite layout planning, custom modifications, crown molding, trim installation, and built-in cabinetry. My experience comes from years of field work, precision craftsmanship, and working closely with builders and homeowners to ensure projects are completed accurately and professionally.
Pricing can vary depending on the size of the project, scope of work, jobsite conditions, and overall complexity. Most projects are priced based on labor requirements, installation time, and the level of detail involved. Additional factors such as custom work, modifications, travel distance, or tight scheduling requirements may also affect pricing. Every quote is provided upfront so customers have a clear understanding of the cost before work begins.
I got started in this business through my dad, who worked in custom cabinetry for over 30 years. Growing up around the trade gave me hands-on experience early on and taught me the importance of quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Over the years, that experience turned into both the knowledge and genuine passion I have for woodworking, cabinetry, and custom finish work today.
A customer looking to hire a professional in this field should take the time to get multiple quotes and compare more than just the price. A lower quote doesn’t always mean the same level of quality, attention to detail, or experience. At the same time, a higher price doesn’t automatically guarantee better workmanship either. It’s important to look at past work, communication, reliability, and overall professionalism before making a decision.
Before talking to a professional, customers should have a clear idea of their goals, budget, and timeline for the project. It also helps to know exactly what they want completed, any specific materials or styles they prefer, and whether there are any site conditions or limitations that could affect the job. Customers should also think about the level of quality they expect and what is most important to them — price, speed, craftsmanship, or long-term durability — so they can communicate those priorities clearly from the beginning.
