Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We use a standard menu based pricing system that allows customers to choose the level of service they want performed, the price they want to pay and the level of warranty they prefer.
How did you get started in this business?
At age 17 I helped my friends dad with his fire sprinkler business. I then later worked with a few mechanical contractors and later plumbing contractors. I always enjoyed speaking and working with customers to figure out the problems they were having and how we could resolve the issue from occurring again. I love what I do and enjoy helping people.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with some really great people over the years. I helped some ladies install a "parrot wash" so birds could enjoy a tropical rain for bathing to a brewery that needed water at an exact temperature for yeast yields. Small sewer line jobs to sewers that were more than 15' deep requiring trench boxes and safety personnel. When it comes to residential plumbing, we try very hard to get the issue resolved.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I had a client that has a failed sewer system. The system crossed 4 people's property and she was elderly and only worked part time. Her husband had passed and she once worked with the local hospital. She had no use of her facilities. With the help of the local sewer department, the local hospital where she worked and us, we were able to get her a new sewer system installed along with able to get her property cleaned up.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend that no plumber is going to perform the same task the same way. There are hundreds of ways to perform a task and all of them are right. However, many of them are wrong. When hiring any trade person, make sure they are licensed and well established in the profession. Also understand that this trade is among the highest in disease control and have very high health risks associated with it.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do you have the correct license?
How long have you been in business?
Do you have the correct insurance?
Do you have the resources to handle this problem?
