At Kanan's Contracting we specialize in fire and water restoration along with remodels. We offer a wide range of both residential and commercial services. Some of the services we offer are complete remodels, deck restoration to complete deck builds, drywall (hang to finish), interior and exterior painting, tile and backsplash, power washing, flooring (literally every kind along with restoration of hardwood floors), lite plumbing and electrical, siding, roofing, additions and new builds, fencing (all styles), we will even take care of your to honey-do list lol along with many more services offered. Between myself and my crew we have well over 100years of experience combined. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail as we treat every single job as if we were working on our own homes. Absolutely NO jobs too big nor small and we cover the entire State of Michigan and are willing to travel out of the State for the right jobs.

What I enjoy the most about the work I do for a living is I am able to completely blow my customers away with our finished product along with having my degree in business management I helped save my customers quite a bit of money by not overpaying on materials and labor.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer I prefer to immediately meet in person to start building our relationship. I then start going over all details and specs to get the best understanding of exactly what my customers want as far as the job along with building a rapport, a complete breakdown itemizing and creating the complete work order/scope if not already completed. I make it a point to reassure every one of my customers that I will treat their job no different than if it were my own along with giving them the upmost respect and that includes every one of my employees. I take very good care of my customers that is why I have so many repeat customers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started in the construction field when I was 12 years old hauling shingles up a ladder and working clean up crew throughout Summers during school years. My stepfather own a construction company and that is where I learned a majority of what I know and became a skilled journeyman and finish contractor. After Highschool i went to college for Business Management.

How did you get started in this business?
I got started in the construction business at the age of 12 years old working my Summers for my stepfather's construction company.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide variety of customers both residential and commercial. We specialize in fire and water restoration meaning alot if our customers are in a very stressful situation and we are the ones who then come in to save the day and relieve them of their stress and anxiety by making whatever job we are doing for our customers as easy and stress-free as possible.
