About
Eric's Electric Service Pros, a licensed electrical contractor, is dedicated to helping you with all of your electrical projects. We have been serving the families of Howard and surrounding counties since 1994. The owner, Eric Fries has been an electrician for 31 years. He graduated with honors from the Independent Electrical Contractors apprenticeship program at Prince Georges Community College.
Eric and his apprentices always strive to keep up with the ever changing electrical industry by taking electrical code update courses as the become available. Eric is a hands on electrician, so you will often see him working side by side with his apprentices. Eric's Electric Services Pros, "Bringing light to your home"
Helping customers get the results they want for their eletrical
projects in an efficient and cost effective manor. I enjoy educating customers as to how they get the most out of their electrical appliances, fixtures, devices and even introduce them to some of the new smart apps for lighting control,security cameras and home theater to name a few.

Eric graduated from the IEC (independent electrical contractors) Chesapeake chapter Maryland State apprenticeship program.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Typically, most jobs are priced to fixed or unit pricing.
Service calls and troubleshooting is billed by time and material.
How did you get started in this business?
I started as an apprentice in 1985 working for a company that wired 1000's of homes through the eighties and nineties. They also did some remodel work and light commercial.
After nine years there, I took and passed my master electricians exam. In 1994 I started Columbia Electrical Services LLC, which later became Eric's Electric Service.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types, big and small jobs. Mostly remodeling and repair.
We have also done some custom homes from time to time. We are currently working with VanSant Construction in Mt Airy Md Wiring their custom homes.
