Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first like to gather all the information about the customer's project, that will then help us to provide them either with our standard service call rate or a fixed price. Then we communicate with the customer about further details about the project to decide if viewing is necessary or we can proceed to scheduling. In most cases, we do not need to see the project to provide a quote for the customer due to our 50+ years of experience within the company.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We obtained our certificate of approval for the masters preparation class through Montgomery College. W Peak Electric LLC holds a Maryland State Masters Electrical License that reciprocates with Virginia and West Virginia.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our basic service call rate is $68 per hour plus a one time $35 house call charge plus the cost of material that we provide for the project unless it is decided that a certain project is better suited for a fixed price. That price would be determined after viewing the project if needed.
How did you get started in this business?
When I was 13, my parents bought me a 100 Things To Do with Electric Kit. After playing with that, I have been hooked on electrical work ever since! At 15, my mother drove me to a small electrical company across from my high school and it was there that I was hired as an electrical helper and this began my more than 40 years of work!
